Pledge

A Pledge is a relation between the village and the player, after a successful foray quest as a knight. The player can chose to protect the village from other pillagers and in return the village regularly sends tributes to the player. These tributes are sent every two hours (or six hours in-game time), and contain one resource of basic stock and some experience. The pledge may last forever, until the player misses to intercept an enemy foray.

Acquisition

Knight is the only class that is able to get pledge. This is obtained after a successful foray. Chance of getting a pledge is random, unaffected by level, equipment, or potion. Only the skill agile soldier affects the acquisition of pledges.

It is possible to stack multiple pledges. However, all pledges will be gone if the player fails to intercept a foray.

For each skill point in agile soldier, you can get one more concurrent pledge up to a maximum of four.

Pledge Message

The following message is shown when a pledge request occurs after a successful foray.

After a successful act of violence, as a brave knight you are, you felt some guilt and decided to talk with your victims. 
Your speech was so pure and enlightening that the villagers decided to make you an offer. 
Tired of constant pillages, in exchange for guarantee of their safety from future forays they have promised to supply you with some intelligence and resources on a regular basis.

To accept their offer, you shall /pledge to protect. You have 3 minutes to decide.


  • If the player decides to /pledge, the following message will appear:
You've pledged to protect poor villagers. You can track /tributes that they supplied you with


  • If the player didn't /pledge or missed it, the following message will appear:
Now it's too late. You were thinking for too long, the charm of your speech has vanished.


  • If the player has an existing pledge and failed to /go a forayer, all existing pledge(s) will be gone. The following message will appear:
You've failed to protect the villagers. No more rewards for you.
