Telegram Basics

Playing ChatWars requires having an active Telegram account. Telegram is an application for smartphones, but there are desktop applications for different operating systems as well as a browser-based access. Creating a telegram accounts requires having a phone number.

Starting the game

To start playing ChatWars, a player has to start the bot @chtwrsbot. At the moment (as of April 2018), the bot can not be started just by talking to it, an invitation from another player is needed. Following the invitation link allows starting the bot, otherwise the bot will return an error message.
