Pets are a feature that was introduced with the July 11th, 2018 game update. They can grant either bonus to attack Attack.png, defense Defend.png, or mana Mana.png, find resources or impair other players' pets, depending which kind of pet a player has.

Level

Pets gain an amount of Experience every 30 minutes (Half-Hour) that is dependent on the states of their various care meters. Each care meter has a total of five possible states; very bad, bad, average, good and perfect! Each of these states is worth 1 (average), 2 (good) and 3 (perfect) points respectively. All of the meters have their individual points summed every half hour and the result is added to the pet's experience, making the maximum experience every half-hour 6.

Development Stages

It currently seems that every 5 levels an increase to the bonus the pet provides is increased. The exceptions to this rule currently seem to be the mouse and gopher, as it is not obvious whether their abilities are improved at all.

Feeding, Bathing, Entertainment

Entertaining and Bathing a pet do not cost anything, but feeding will remove one of the pet's preferred food from your storage and consume it. Bathing and Feeding can always be performed, even when their status is already perfect. Entertainment however can only be performed when the pet's status for it is less than perfect!

Death

Neglecting pets will cause them die, making them disappear from your character sheets and sending you a message telling you so. The exact trigger is currently unknown, but it takes roughly 2 days without care for a pet to die.

Sheltering

Sheltering a pet allows you to cash in another coupon while still not losing your old pet, which can be retrieved later. Sheltering costs 500 gold and 1 Leash per pet. Pets can be retrieved for free, but you still have to pay to shelter your current pet before you can retrieve one you shelter. Pets in the shelter do not need to be cared for. The shelter is found in the Menagerie.
